    Great tea, great staff.

Myself and 2 friends dropped into Thea Caffea after several failed attempts at our first English  afternoon tea experience. This place is spacious, well lit, and definitely has the "English" vibe.

Upon entering, the staff that greeted us were extremely friendly and took the time to go through their specialty tea and regular tea menu. They made suggestions based on our tea preferences and were patient with us while we decided.

We ordered the cream tea combo which included your tea of choice, 2 scones and some fruit.  In total we ordered: lemon ginger green tea, blossoming tea, and vanilla chai black tea. All of these came out great and complimented our pastries well. The presentation was beautiful, complete, and impressive. My only complaint would be that the tea could have came out a little hotter and the temperature within the restaurant was a little stuffy.

I dropped in while in Nottingham for the day with two friends for my first English tea. Except I actually don't drink tea, so it was really my first English hot chocolate. My friends, however, had pots of English breakfast and Earl Grey and both enjoyed their brews. My hot chocolate was decent and I was happy it came with marshmallows. The two scones with the cream tea were a bit small, but the scone I ordered on its own was a good size and came with lots of clotted cream and jam. And the decor was just lovely. We ate outside, but inside it felt very much like an old-fashioned afternoon tea.

Must do A LOT better. Poor, very very poor.

For a "specialist" tea shop, they can not make a decent pot of tea, and it's usually cold.
